I have been
experimenting with cupcakes lately. I have forgotten to take pictures of most of them. The bright pink cupcakes were made for Kenzie to take to school. The others were the beginning of my flavor experiments. They were half raspberry cupcakes with whip cream frosting and half white cupcakes with raspberry flavored Swiss Meringue Buttercream. This was my first success with the Swiss Meringue Buttercream and I was very happy with how it turned out. Next I made chocolate cupcakes some with raspberry frosting and some with orange flavored frosting. I donated three dozen of these to the March of Dimes cake walk. Then for a baby shower a made chocolate raspberry cupcakes with dark chocolate chips in them. I frosted them with raspberry flavored buttercream and decorated them similar to the ones that you see above. I'm going to keep trying out new flavor combinations - maybe a hawiian theme next?
